• My contract has 12 months left — can I still switch?+

  Almost always, yes. California civil contracts require the vendor to actually perform. If they've missed SLA visits, run guards without a valid BSIS badge, let insurance lapse, or failed to deliver reports, you have grounds for termination for cause with zero penalty. Send us the contract and the last 60 days of reports — we'll show you exactly which clauses they've breached.

• What are the most common loopholes to get out of a security contract?+

  The five we find most: (1) Auto-renew clauses require written notice 30–90 days before term end — most PMs miss this window, but the clause itself often violates CA Business & Professions Code §17600 if it wasn't clearly disclosed. (2) Non-performance / missed visits — every unlogged patrol is a breach. (3) Expired PPO license — check bsis.dca.ca.gov, an expired license voids the contract instantly. (4) Insurance lapse — request a current COI; if they can't produce it in 5 days, you can terminate. (5) Sub-contracting without notice — many big companies farm your account to a subcontractor, which usually violates the assignment clause.

• Will there be a gap in coverage while we switch?+

  No. We run parallel patrol during your notice period at $15 per GPS-stamped visit — no minimum, no setup fee. Your outgoing vendor finishes their term, we're already on-property learning the layout, and on day 31 we take full coverage without a single missed night.

• How fast can you take over?+

  New post orders written in 48 hours. First patrol on-property within 24 hours of signed agreement. Full COI + BSIS PPO #121830 sent to your lender/insurer the same day. Most properties transition inside one week.

• Do you help HOAs get board approval for the switch?+

  Yes. We deliver a board packet with side-by-side vendor comparison, GPS report samples, insurance certificates, references from 5+ nearby Sacramento HOAs, and a draft board motion. Free — even if you don't switch to us.

• What if my current company threatens to sue for early termination?+

  It's almost always a bluff. Enforcing an early-termination fee requires the vendor to prove full performance — the same performance records they usually can't produce. In two years and 40+ transitions, zero of our clients have paid an early-term fee. Our attorney will respond to any threat letter on your behalf at no charge.
